Fouché was launched in 2014 by Claire Fouché, former couture jewellery designer for Fabergé; born out of a love of artistry, storytelling and craftsmanship.
The Fouché aesthetic draws on art déco architecture built by Italians in Africa to African art and textiles that first inspired Picasso’s ‘African Period’ in 1920s Paris.
The collection is crafted from natural materials by skilled artisans in Kenya and finished by hand in Europe.
In 2012 Claire co-founded the Maisha Foundation to support young talent from Kibera in skills training programmes. Fouché jewellery provides ongoing fair-trade employment to skilled artisans in Nairobi and Kibera, Africa's largest slum.
Fouché jewellery is coveted by inspirational women around the world, including Sienna Miller and Lucinda Chambers, and has featured in British, French & Brazilian Vogue, amongst other leading publications.
